How to Vote in Airdrie (2025 Municipal Election)

Every vote shapes the future of Airdrie. Here’s what you need to know to make your voice heard this election.

  • Date: Monday, October 20, 2025 
  • Polls are open across Airdrie throughout the day.
  • Advance voting starts October 6, 2025 and runs on select dates leading up to Election Day. 
  • Exact locations and times will be published by Elections Alberta and the City of Airdrie.

You can vote in the Airdrie City Council election if you are: 

  • A Canadian citizen 
  • At least 18 years old on Election Day 
  • A resident of Airdrie on Election Day
  • Government-issued photo ID showing your name and address (e.g., driver’s license).
  • Or, two pieces of ID — one showing your name, and one showing your address.
  • A complete list of accepted ID is available at Elections Alberta.
  •  Polling locations will be assigned by the City of Airdrie. 
  • Check your voter card (mailed before the election) or visit the official Elections Alberta website for updated information.
  • Mark your calendars for October 20, 2025
  • Bring the proper ID. 
  • Encourage your friends and family to vote.
